Motorists urged to plan for delays at Elgin bridge
MORAY MSP Richard Lochhead is urging motorists to plan more time for journeys and to be as patient as possible in the next fortnight while work is carried out on the Waulkmill Bridge just east of Elgin.
While the work will be carried out between 9.30am and 3.30pm each day to avoid peak time traffic, it remains one of the busiest sections of road in Moray and is likely to have disruption and some delay due to the use of traffic lights during the working periods.
Mr Lochhead said: "The advance notice of this important bridge parapet work is welcome as it is a very busy stretch of road.
"I am pleased to see that the work has been scheduled to avoid the busiest periods of the day but there is still likely to be some delays over the coming fortnight and I would urge motorists from the east of Elgin to plan ahead and allow more time for their journeys to and from the city."
