Spooky Hallo'een fun in Elgin
SPOOKY fun and laughter will reverberate around the centre of Elgin.
The Elgin BID Hallo’een Family Fun Day on Saturday (Oct 26) is set to be a frightful event from 11am to 4.30pm.
Ghoulish fancy dress is encouraged for the fancy dress parade from the Plainstones at 1pm, with registration in the St Giles shopping centre from 12.15-12.30pm.
Get your hands on some terrifyingly delicious items at the Elgin Business and Farmers’ Market from 10am.
Elgin and District Pipe Band will play some haunting tunes from 11am to get the entertainment underway, followed by a fearsome performance from Moray Tribal Dance at 12noon.
It will be doubly gruesome in the afternoon when Rock Academy perform at 2pm and 3pm.
If you are brave enough, visit the Vampire Cockpit of the Morayvia – Nimrod section, where you can be thrilled by the ghostly aircraft crew.
And Elgin Rotaract are hosting a selection of family favourite Hallo’een games and crafts on the Plainstones. You could have a go at Dookin for Apples, Catch the Doughnut and much more.
There are three age categories for the fancy dress: under 5; 5-10 years and 11-15 years.
There are great gifts and prizes to be won for the best costume.
A treasure hunt will take place for the chance to win two stand tickets for an Elgin City Football Club home game.
