The Black and Whites’ next two away matches are on the all-weather parks at Clyde and Montrose, with a pair of fixtures on their more natural home soil woven in between.

Manager Ross Jack is satisfied with his players’ fitness levels ahead of a tough schedule of games, but admitted there is also a need to ‘condition’ his squad to be able to comfortably switch between playing surfaces.

City host Montrose this Saturday before playing last weekend’s postponed fixture at Clyde on the artificial Broadwood pitch on Wednesday night. The pattern continues over the rest of the month when they are at home to Annan and away to Montrose, who also play on a 4G surface at Links Park.

"Fitness is very good right now and that will be paramount over the coming weeks with the changes in pitch and the changes in condition," Jack said. "All our players will be well conditioned, as they need to be for the challenges ahead.
