A NEW force in the north’s transport scene has hit the road with the launch of a shiny new fleet and city premises.

Owner Sandy Rapson – the former proprietor of Rapsons Coaches, Highland Scottish Omnibuses and Highland Country Buses – has ambitious plans to grow Highland Translink.

In the last two months Highland TransLink has invested £1 million in a one-acre site at Longman Drive, Inverness, and the purchase of a Wrightbus Streetlite, two state-of-the-art executive coaches and a Mercedes S Class car for weddings and executive hire.

The company plans to expand its luxury fleet over the coming months.

"Our focus for 2013 is to spread the Highland Translink name and grow the business," said Sandy.
