National award win for Inverurie Chinese restaurant
An eatery in Inverurie has won Chinese Restaurant of the Year at the Scottish Asian Food Awards.
Asian Kitchen at the Garioch Centre, Constitution Street, was announced as the winner at a glamorous, black-tie awards ceremony held at the Marriott Hotel in Glasgow.
The award ceremony exists to recognise and reward a variety of Asian restaurants, takeaways and eateries across Scotland.
The Inverurie restaurant said in an online statement: "We are delighted to announce we have won the Chinese Restaurant of the Year at the Scottish Asian Food Awards.
"We would like to thank our loyal and lovely customers who have continued to support our business for these past few years, we couldn’t have achieved this without you.
"Also a big thank you to the Scottish Asian Food Awards for inviting us to the awards ceremony and letting our staff celebrate all the hard work that has been put into our business for these past few years.
"We are looking forward to see what 2023 brings us and as we continue to grow."
The Scottish Asian Food Awards 2022 recognise those who work their hardest to service the Asian food industry which is growing and diversifying each year.
The event celebrated the achievements of businesses and individuals who connect communities through food and culture.
Categories included Korean Restaurant of the Year, Asian Street Food of the Year and Five Star Indian Restaurant of the Year, reflecting Scotland’s love for all kinds of Asian cuisine.
The Scottish Asian Food Awards 2022 are organised by Oceanic Consulting – the UK’s leading ethnic awards company.
