The store which is located on Provost Davidson Drive will close its doors from Wednesday, April 20 and reopen on Friday, April 29 at 7am.

Changes will see the store offer customers a range of fresh food and groceries, new lines and Morrisons own-label items.

The rollout of Morrisons Daily stores is a “key component” of the company's strategic focus on food led convenience, driving incremental sales and sales-mix improvement across the store.

After having Morrisons' Safeway brand on around 400 product lines in over 1300 stores since January 2018, McColl's decided to take the wholesale agreement further by having convenience stores rebranded from McColl’s to Morrisons Daily.

The first rebranded stores were operating at the start of 2021and they remain on track to complete 450 Morrisons Daily store conversions by the end of the 2022 financial year.

Prior to recently stepping down as CEO, Jonathan Miller said: "The Morrisons Daily stores are fundamentally reshaping our business into a more profitable and sustainable model in the medium term, as well as providing customers with access to a wider range of products, greater value and a supermarket-quality fresh food and grocery offer."
