MORAY'S Got Talent has helped pull together a stellar line-up for an online family concert to boost the work of a children's mental health organisation.

Lucy’s Blue Day – Virtual Fundraising Concert will showcase Britain's Got Talent winner Jai McDowell, children's TV superstar Andy Day with Andy and the Odd Socks, Mr Boom and magician Dean Spruce, alongside an sparkling array of local musical stars.

Ticket fees for the virtual concert will go to support the team at Lucy's Blue Day, a Scottish organisation which provides children's mental health and wellbeing resources. The team organise school visits funded by sales of the children's mental health book Lucy's Blue Day, penned by Christopher Duke.

Other performers in the line-up include: singer/songwriter Craig Wier, from Gleadhraich; Abbie Nye Music; Keith youngsters The Country Quines; Moray twin-sister musicians Fair Trickit; Danny Mortimer Music; The Collies; Iona Fyfe; aerial artist Vallen Faulkner; Highland dancer Aleesha Cowie; and stand-up poet Greg Byron.

Organisers say a few surprises will be thrown in too.

Leader of the Buckie-based Moray's Got Talent team, Leah Rossvoll, said: "I have been working with Lucy’s Blue Day for some time as I recognise the importance of mental health, especially following some very difficult months for everyone.

"Moray’s Got Talent have been delighted to put on performances for four years now, but with the current restrictions we had to adapt the normal format.

"I was pleased to be involved in discussions to hold a virtual concert which I hope will bring a little fun and excitement in the run-up to Christmas.

"The cost to enter will help support the work of the team behind Lucy’s Blue Day."

Local Buckie Councillor Tim Eagle said: "I have had several conversations before with Leah about the work of Moray's Got Talent but also about mental health in general in Moray.

"We are lucky to have a fantastic team at the Moray Wellbeing Hub as well as other support workers and we all need to recognise the importance of good mental health.

"Leah put me in touch with Lucy's Blue Day and it has been great to see what resources they can offer.

"This concert hopes to provide a chance to relax and have fun with an amazing line-up from local stars to UK performers. Please do log on and enjoy this virtual concert."

The concert will go live on November 28 at 3pm. Tickets cost £7.50 and are available from https://www.lucysblueday.com/.../virtual-fundraising.../.
