Speyside man David Cairney appears in court charged with attempted murder

A SPEYSIDE man appeared in private at Inverness Sheriff Court today on a total of eight charges, including one of attempted murder.

David Cairney (32), from Aberlour, was also accused of five assaults in Elgin, resisting arrest and threatening behaviour.

He made no plea, was committed for further examination and remanded in custody.

Cairney will next appear within eight days.
