Sheriff Ian Cruickshank heard the case at Inverness Sheriff Court.

A former Keith resident has admitted using a hidden camera to secretly film several women getting dressed and undressed.

Police found the camera fitted inside a bedside alarm clock when they raided a property on Regent Street occupied by Liam Elliot.

Officers recovered videos of three different women.

They also found a video of a couple engaged in sexual activity.

Inverness Sheriff Court heard that the couple had been consensually filmed.

However, Elliot had obtained a copy of the footage without their knowledge of consent.

Elliott, now of Union Street, Larkhall, appeared before Sheriff Ian Cruickshank earlier today.

The 35-year-old admitted three charges of voyeurism and two sex offences relating to his unauthorised possession of the sex video between May 1, 2019 and September 30, 2020.

Sentence was deferred until June 19 for both a report into Elliot's background and a restriction of liberty order assessment.

Elliott had his bail continued and was immediately placed on the Sex Offender's Register.
