The popular KCR radio presenter Moira 'Granny' Morrison sadly died at the weekend.
As well as her duties behind the microphone Moira had been at the forefront of managing the Keith-based station for the past 17 years.
John Seivwright, a family friend and the former chairman of KCR, said: "She loved the radio and did so much work for the station.
"Everyone thought a lot of her and she will be very sadly missed indeed."
KCR posted an official tribute to the 71-year-old on its Facebook site, which mentioned both her husband and daughter.
It said: "It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our friend, station manager and presenter Moira Morrison.
"Moira was better known to everyone here at KCR as Granny.
"Moira presented Granny’s Kist and she was a huge part of keeping KCR going all these years.
"Moira sadly passed away on Saturday.
"We are completely devastated by this loss and our thoughts and prayers are with Frankie, Kathryn and family at this very sad time.
"Life is precious. Stay safe."
Moira's loss is the second heavy blow to KCR in a very short space of time.
Eddie Stuart, its chairman and regular presenter of The Music Box show, passed away suddenly last month.
