An exhibition is set to come to Huntly with a focus on celebrating Cabrach’s rich nature and heritage.

Moray-based artists Lynne Strachan and Mary Bourne have been working together to spread awareness of the area’s history as well as what’s happening there today.

Their project, Cabrach Reconnections, aims to find ways for locals to connect with each other through art while enjoying the scenery of the area.

Lynne said: “We have made two larger installations considering the passage of time and how the forces of change are affecting people’s lives, as well as some smaller, more intimate pieces.

“All the work reflects the materials we have found in The Cabrach, left behind as people have moved on.”

The exhibition is at the Square Deal in Huntly this Saturday from 9am to 4pm and Sunday from 11am to 4pm. At least one of the artists will be present at all times, and visitors are welcome to have a chat as well as view the work.
