Moray duo handed SNP award

Moray Council's leader and convenor have been named as SNP councillors of the year.

Graham Leadbitter and Shona Morrison were jointly given the award at the party's annual conference which finished this afternoon after being held online.

Cllr Morrison, who represents the Fochabers/Lhanbryde ward: "I'm totally chuffed if not a little humbled to have jointly won the best SNP councillor award with Graham.

"He's a truly excellent colleague and friend.

"It’s a tough gig, as many will know, but it's made so much easier working as a partnership."
