Missing Sheffield man James Setterington has connections to Fyvie, Turriff and Huntly and may have travelled to Aberdeenshire

UPDATE 10/09/2022: Sadly a body was found during searches on Friday evening (September 9) which South Yorkshire Police believe to be that of James Setterington.

A young man who has been missing from Sheffield since Sunday may have made his way back to the north-east where he grew up.

South Yorkshire Police are appealing for information to help find James Setterington, 20, who was last seen at his home address in the Manor and Arbourthorne area of the city.

His family are now extending their appeal to Aberdeenshire, where they previously lived, saying that there is a chance James may have headed back to the place he grew up.

In particular he has connections with Fyvie, Turriff and Huntly.

It is believed James left the the property between 7am and 11.30am on Sunday, September 4.

He is white and described as 5'11" tall, of skinny build, with short light brown hair.

He is believed to be in a motorcycle jacket and jeans, with black trainers.

His motorbike - a black Yamaha NT03, registration number LC59 NYT – is also gone.

Officers are becoming increasingly concerned for James's welfare and want to speak to anybody who has seen him.
