Turriff And District Men's Shed is delighted to have been chosen to benefit from the Co-op Local Community Fund.

Chairman Ian Murray said: "At a time when funds for community groups and charitable organisations are becoming more difficult to access, we’re incredibly grateful for this opportunity to make a real difference in Turriff.

"We’re raising funds to purchase an industrial radial saw and bench and also replace some of our older tools.

"The Turriff shed is continually looking to improve its efficiency and the radial saw and bench will be a real boost, some of our tools that we first purchased when the shed started like cordless drills which are used daily are requiring replacing."

Co-op members can choose Turriff Men's Shed as their local cause by visiting the Co-op website, then when they purchase selected products or services the Co-op will donate a share of money towards the cause.

Turriff Men's Shed has recently reopened for members, however due to restrictions and distancing guidelines the number of people who can be in the shed each day is limited and they are currently unable to welcome new members; visitors are permitted by appointment only.
