CHARITY Marie Curie is encouraging people in Moray to host a summer get-together with loved ones and show their support for those with terminal illness.

The end of life charity’s Blooming Great Summer fundraiser is all about doing what you love, whether that’s showing off your baking skills, hosting a BBQ or dusting off some boardgames for a family night.

All funds raised from Blooming Great Summer events will go towards ensuring Marie Curie can continue to provide vital care and support for people at the end of their lives, and their families, in the north-east.

Jillian Walker, Marie Curie's community fundraiser, said: “In these unprecedented times our fundraising activity has suffered a huge blow and we need people’s support now more than ever.

“Every penny from a Blooming Great Summer event will help us be there for more people, and their loved ones, when they need it most. And when you sign-up, I’ll be on hand to help make your event is as fun as possible.

So, however you choose to get involved, have some well-deserved fun in the sun and help make a difference.”

Before planning, make sure your Blooming Great Summer event can take place safely and within Covid-19 restrictions.
