Man taken to hospital after fire at Roseisle Distillery building

A MAN was taken to hospital this morning after a fire at a Moray distillery.

Three fire appliances were sent to tackle the fire inside a building at Roseisle Distillery

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said this afternoon: "We were alerted at 9.49am on Wednesday, September 30, to reports of a building fire at Roseisle Distillery.

"Operations control mobilised three appliances, alongside specialist resources, to extinguish a fire within the premises.

"One male casualty was taken to hospital by the Scottish Ambulance Service.

"Firefighters left after making the area safe."

The extent of the man's injuries are unknown at this stage.

The distillery, which opened in 2010, is owned by Diageo.
