Man arrested and charged after £70k machinery theft in Aberdeenshire

A 33-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the theft of plant machinery from a rural property in Aberdeenshire.

The incident happened in the Nether Kinmundy area in the early hours of Tuesday, April 4.

The machinery, which had been valued at around £70,000, has been recovered.

The man will appear at Peterhead Sheriff Court at a later date.

Detective Constable Jonathon Pinder said: “I would like to thank those who have assisted us with our enquiries in relation to this theft.
