Man (41) appears in Elgin Sheriff Court charged with murder of mother-of-two Kiesha Donaghy

A MAN has appeared in court charged with the murder of Kiesha Donaghy.

Owen Grant (41), whose address is listed as Elgin, appeared in private at Elgin Sheriff Court this afternoon (Friday, December 1). He made no plea to the charge of murder.

The 41-year-old, who was wearing grey jogging bottoms, then left the court through a side door, under a blanket and guided by three guards.

He has been committed for further examination and remanded in custody His next appearance will be within the next eight days.

Kiesha Donaghy (32), a mother-of-two, was found dead at her home in Anderson Drive, New Elgin on November 16.

The police launched an investigation into her death led by Detective Superintendent Lorna Ferguson, of Police Scotland's Major Investigation Team.

DS Ferguson said: “We continue to support Kiesha’s family and our thoughts are with them.

“I would like to thank the public for their patience and continued support.”
