Man (21) charged for break-in near Banff

A 21-year-old man has been arrested and charged following the theft of several chainsaw from Hilton Farm, Boyndie.

Police Scotland appealed for witnesses after the property was broken into between 9am and 2pm on Wednesday, September 23.

As well as the chainsaws some accessories were also reported to have been stolen.

At the time the enquiry officer, PC Casey Conner said: "We are looking for anyone who might have seen anything suspicious in the area or any unusual vehicles. Rural crime is a priority to us."

Following the 21-year-old's arrest Police Scotland now state a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
