Björn Again will head to Inverness this winter to perform a plethora of Abba’s greatest hits.

The act will take to the stage at Inverness Leisure on Saturday, December 9, with support from a special guest to be announced ahead of the event.

The show is hailed as the most popular and successful show of its type, having been acknowledged by Abba's Björn Ulvaeus as being the show that single-handedly initiated the Abba revival in the late-1980s and early-1990s, which brought about Abba Gold, Muriel’s Wedding, and Mamma Mia!

The internationally acclaimed Björn Again show was created and founded in 1988 in Melbourne, by Australian director and musician Rod Stephen. Designed as a rocked-up, light-hearted, satirical Abba spoof, the show rapidly achieved world-wide cult status. The enduring appeal of Abba is reflected in the ongoing success of the Björn Again show, having amassed 5500 performances in 75 countries in 35 years.

LCC Live – organisers of Live in the City – is adding it to its winter schedule after announcing Skerryvore would be performing at the same venue on Friday, December 8.

Claire Kidger, of LCC Live, said: “The Björn Again show is the ultimate Abba night and we’re so excited to be bringing it to the Inverness Leisure centre this Christmas – it will be a fun epic night out, filled with so many of Abba’s greatest hits!

“This is a terrific opportunity to grab a group of friends and family and come along for an evening of great entertainment – we don’t know about you, but hearing all of those classic tunes will make us want to (maybe get dressed up a bit) and dance!”

Tickets for Björn Again go on sale this Friday at 9am from ticketline.co.uk and from Cafferys Menswear in the Eastgate Shopping Centre, Inverness.
