Lucky squares raises £2500 for Turriff Playgroup

A fundraiser organised by Turriff Pre-school Playgroup has ensured a magical Christmas for winners and children alike.

The playgroup's committee organised a lucky squares with a selection of vouchers from local businesses as prizes.

The star prize was a turkey dinner from Brown The Butcher, with other prizes including vouchers for the Fife Arms, Makeup By Rachel King, Thorneybank Farm Shop, Aesthetika, and CC Powell.

Other prizes on offer included a luxury Christmas hamper, a hamper of goodies from Tesco and a kids boiler suit donated by Alan Mackay Machinery.

The lucky squares took in £2500, some of which was used to take the children on a Christmas outing to the Fairy Woods At Fedderate, near New Deer.

The remaining funds will be used towards resources for both the indoor and outdoor learning spaces at the playgroup's new premises' at Turriff Primary School.
