Long-serving Trust director stands down

A LONG-SERVING supporter of the Drummuir and Botriphnie Community Trust has stepped down from his role as director.

Peter McWilliam supported the Drummuir Hall and Community Association for more than 40 years, serving as a director for the past seven of those.

But Mr McWilliam decided to call time on his spell with the trust this week.

Dianne Mark, also a director of the trust, was full of praise for her colleague. She said: "You couldn’t wish for a better committee member, with his willingness to help, his reliable and loyal attendance at meetings and fundraising events, his enthusiasm, calm manner and, of course, his cheery word for everybody.

"He'll be especially missed at the quiz nights in Drummuir Hall, as he has also retired as the resident quiz master."
