Huntly app developers appeal for businesses and clubs to be listed

PROGRESS on the the Experience Huntly website and app has reached the point where imformation to be listed is now required.
Huntly Business Association is developing the app as part of the community’s recovery from the Covid lockdown.
Vivien Rae, marketing manager is now asking business owners, organisations, groups and clubs to submit information to be included ahead of its launch later in the spring.
Ms Rae said: “The website and app will be an invaluable tool for supporting local businesses, the wider community and visitors.
“We aim for a Spring launch to coincide with the hopeful easing of restrictions.
“The website and app are ideal platforms to highlight opening dates and times, events and deals to keep the community informed and engaged.
“The more information available, the more valuable a resource it will be to residents and visitors.”
Listings are invited from businesses, organisations, clubs and groups in the AB54 postcode - Huntly and the surrounding area.
The app will be free to download and participating businesses and groups will have full control over their listing.
On Tuesday, the Business Association was awarded £2000 from the Aberdeenshire Charities Trust towards the app and website.
Supporting the application councillor Gwyneth Petrie said: “The project is brilliant, just what Huntly has been calling out for in terms of increasing its offering particularly for tourists.”
Councillor Moira Ingleby added: “I feel this would sit very well with the huge efforts that are going on to promote Huntly and to regenerate the whole area.”
