KEITH'S annual Friendly Fest is set to return with a bang after a four-year absence.

The festival, due to take place at Keith Football Club's Kynoch Park on Saturday, June 24, has been sidelined throughout the coronavirus pandemic.

However, it is set to return bigger and better than ever in 2023 – headlined by Livin Joy singer Janice Robinson, who is flying in from Miami specifically for the festival.

Robinson, who wrote Dreamer, one of the biggest anthems of the 90s, will perform Livin Joy's biggest hits at the event.

She will be joined by The Gerry Cinnamon Experience, Spice World and A Northern Soul, plus a series of local artists.

Organiser Russell Aitchison said: “We are really excited to bring Janice Robinson all the way to Keith.

"We somehow managed to convince her agent to let her travel all the way to headline our festival.

"It’s great news that the festival is returning to the area again after four years.

"Before Covid-19 this event was growing year on year so we are looking forward to be seeing the crowds back having the time of their lives to a great line up of music.

"We still have some brilliant local acts to be announced so we expect tickets to sell very quickly when they go on sale on Wednesday."

Janice Robinson appeared on X-Factor in 2018 and has recently started working on new music, giving festival goers the opportunity to hear some exclusive new tracks.

The Gerry Cinnamon Experience will have the festival crowd rocking with all of the Glasgow singer's biggest songs.

The popular tribute has been wowing crowds across the UK and Ireland and is sure to be a hit when he travels north to Keith.

Spice Girls tribute Spice World and The Verve and Richard Ashcroft tribute A Northern Soul will bring even more nostalgia and hands in the air moments to Kynoch Park.

The festival will host two stages of music. Tickets for Friendly Fest go on sale Wednesday, February 1, at 8am and can be bought at www.skiddle.com/festivals/friendly-fest.
