Keiran's Legacy, SAMH, Keith Cancer Link and the Boharm Public Hall took a quarter of the fund each – which came to £1261.

Heather Stephen, who works at Pure Perfection beauty salon in Fife Keith, said: "We did the same event last year and made £5020 for MacMillan Cancer Research and the Hall. We have managed to top that, which is brilliant, and have decided to split the money.

"I work as a beauty therapist and the amount of people affected by cancer is huge – that's why we decided to give money to Keith Cancer Link.

"Keiran's Legacy is important to me as he was a relative of mine. He was a great, young lad and I wanted to help them reach their goal of raising £21,000 for his 21st birthday.

"SAMH is important as there is so many people struggling with mental health problems and anxiety, and we have got to keep the Boharm Public Hall open and running."
