A Ladies Day and fashion show held at Huntly Golf Club has raised an impressive £1730 for charity.

The event was staged to drum up funds for local childcare group Wee Toots.

Pressures of increasing rent and utility costs for its premises have meant the non-profit making group is having to double down on its fundraising efforts to ensure the service can continue in the town.

Guests at the Ladies Day were treated to a prosecco reception, party games and food.

This was followed by a fashion show from local online ladies boutique Blanc Closet.

The event then finished with a disco from JP Gallagher who recently received a ‘highly commended' in the DJ category of the Scottish Wedding awards.

Vicky Keith from Wee Toots said: "The day went better than we could have hoped for. We were all nervous beforehand as it’s the first Ladies Day that Wee Toots has hosted, and the first fashion show for Blanc Closet, too.

"But there was a great bunch of ladies and everyone had the best day.

"There might have been a few sore heads on Sunday though."

The fashion show from www.blanccloset.co.uk showcased its new SS23 range.

Melissa Simpson from Blanc Closet said: "We were so happy to be asked to take part as our own children attended Wee Toots, so it’s a cause that means a lot to us.

"As a fairly new online business, it also gave us the ideal opportunity to show our new range in our hometown.

"We were so lucky to have such stunning, local models to show-off our outfits.

"We were also very lucky to have the highly-skilled beauticians Sharon Paterson and Jean McFadyen from Top To Toe who had us all looking glamorous.

"The fashion show has been amazing for increasing our profile and sales have been incredible since Saturday."

Following the event's success Wee Toots has already scheduled another date for November and invited Blanc Closet to return to the catwalk.
