An application was submitted to Aberdeenshire Council in May this year which includes a residential development with associated access, landscaping, SUDS and ancillary works.

The application responds to the Aberdeenshire Local Development Plan and seeks to deliver an attractive, high- quality town park and residential development.

The housing developer will be hosting a drop-in session on September 7 from 4pm-8pm in the Kintore Parish Church (Kingsfield Road, Kintore, AB51 0UB).

The event will be used an opportunity to gather feedback on what facilities the community would like to see included in the proposed town park.

Information boards will be presented, and members of the project team will be on hand at the event to discuss plans directly with the local community and importantly gather feedback. Feedback forms will also be available on the day to complete.

Those unable to attend the consultation event can view information boards and project materials on their dedicated website - https://kintore.consultationonline.co.uk/ - from Thursday 7.

An online feedback form will also be available to complete on the website.

Feedback will be welcomed until Friday, September 22.

These comments will be used to inform the application and importantly develop a town park that best aligns with the community’s needs and requirements.

Roger Laird, Strategic Land Manager at Scotia Homes said: “We are delighted to announce our consultation for the town park element of our proposed residential development in Kintore.

“We are focused on a collaborative approach with local residents and stakeholders to provide a town park for the area that best aligns with the community’s needs and requirements.

“We would encourage all those with an interest to join us at the drop-in event on the 7th September or share their thoughts through our online platform. We look forward to further engagement with the local community and receiving valuable feedback over the coming weeks.”
