Public consultation to be held for Statera’s Kintore Hydrogen site plans

Statera’s Kintore Hydrogen plan will develop a new north-east site near Leylodge for 3GW of electrolysis, to be built in phases, in order to produce green hydrogen from surplus Scottish wind power.

It will supply both power generating facilities and the UK's most carbon intensive industrial clusters through existing gas transmission pipelines and upon completion will be one of the largest of its kind in Europe.

This week saw the first planning enquiry stage submitted to Aberdeenshire Council’s planning service and public consultation events have bene announced.

Statera will hold two public consultations, one in April and one later in June.

These are held prior to submitting full planning applications, so that they can hear feedback from the local community.

Public consultation - Phase one take place on April 24, from 2pm-8pm at Kintore Bowling Club, Castle Walk, Kintore.

The Statera team will be at the event to discuss the project and answer any questions and following the event, they will share all consultation materials at the project website listed above for reference.
