A KINTORE based company has raised over £25,500 to support children with life-limiting conditions

Brimmond, which provides hydraulic, lifting and mechanical equipment, has now raised over £25,500 for Aberdeen children’s charity Charlie House over the course their three-year partnership.

Tom Murdoch, Managing Director of Brimmond, said: “Charlie House provides invaluable support to so many children and their families in our local community, and in what has undoubtedly been a challenging couple of years for any charity, we are delighted to be able to help in any way we can.

“The Brimmond community has come together to give up their free time to raise awareness and funds for this important charity – some of our team are even challenging themselves further to take part in the New York City Marathon in November.

“We are also looking forward to continuing our support of Charlie House as sponsors of the annual Charlie House Big Build Ball.”

Team members at Brimmond also completed a Winter Climb Challenge, which saw the team scale 100,000 metres and raise over £1000 for Charlie House’s Big Build Appeal, the charity's fundraising mission which aims to build specialist facility in Aberdeen for children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions.

Brimmond staff also recently volunteered at The Big Bounce, which featured more than 20 giant inflatables set up in Aberdeen city centre, including bouncy castles, bungee runs and obstacle courses.

Charlie House supports families across North East Scotland, improving the quality of life for babies, children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions. All Charlie House services and activities are delivered free of charge, relying on essential donations.

Susan Crighton, Director of Fundraising at Charlie House says, “Our partnership with Brimmond over the last three years has been nothing short of incredible. The team are always ready to don their Charlie House t-shirts and get involved in events and initiatives.”

“Brimmond’s volunteering and fundraising efforts have seen them making a significant contribution towards the work we do with families across the North East of Scotland and we can’t thank them enough for their generosity. They continuously go above and beyond for our charity.”
