Ukuleles galore, 14 of them were welcomed back to Kemnay village hall by Tuesday centre member Ann Brown.

Leader of the band the Ukulele Strummers and singers Zena McAllister explained how this unusual ensemble came about.

"It was during Covid when I didn't have much to do," she said.

She did some research and discovered a whole lot of other uke enthusiasts.

Once restrictions were over they all got together and soon were able to form a band and joining forces with the Kemnay Ukes

Their performances proved hugely popular and since then have had regular bookings all over Aberdeenshire.

Tuesday's meeting with the Ukeleles playing and singing many old favourites was grand finale.

The centre is closing for a summer break and reopening on Tuesday, August 1.
