Well-known entertainer Ian Booth entertained the Tuesday Centre meeting in Kemnay Village Hall.

Fetternear-born Ian has been performing with his trusty accordion all over Scotland and in nine countries abroad for well over half a century

He had plenty to please Tuesday's gathering in the Friendship Room from his vast repertoire which had the toes tapping and hands clapping.

To date he has composed 450 tunes – and is still doing so.

He is much involved in a forthcoming concert at Inverurie Town Hall on Saturday, May 20, which will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Bailies of Bennachie.

He first became interested in accordion music as a very young lad when he heard a man playing the instrument sitting outside a tent at a Monymusk Gala.

He was smitten and found a Kemnay player to teach him and soon showed a talent for it.

The vote of thanks was given by Ann Brown.

The Tuesday Centre already has plans under way for its own celebration for the King's coronation in May.
