The Nation's Wedding Awards celebrate the best wedding professionals from across the UK and ten finalists from across Moray and the Highlands have selected for the awards. Ceamara Photography is one of the five finalists from Moray, and owner Morag Martin is thrilled by the recognition.

Morag said: "The best thing about my job as a photographer is weddings, it's really good fun and it's so rewarding to capture people's happiness. It's absolutely amazing to be nominated, I'm not expecting to win but just to get the nomination is so great."

Morag has been working as a wedding photographer for 11 years and also received the Photographer of the Year North award at this year's Scottish Wedding Awards, but she is even more delighted to be recognised at the UK wide event. She said: "The Scottish Wedding Awards are given in sections, so they have different sections for each part of Scotland and then an overall winner, but for the Nation's Awards they have just got one category, so it's even more amazing that Ceamara is in the final ten for the whole of the UK – it's just mindblowing."

The other Moray finalists for the event are Elgin wedding venue Innes House, musicians Diamond Skies and MacTa and Buckie based DJ Paul T.

Morag said: "It is amazing to have five businesses in Moray nominated for the awards and it's really uplifting to see Moray be represented – we live in such a nice area and sometimes it gets overlooked but it shouldn't be because it is a beautiful place to live and to get married."

The five finalists in Highland are Nairn's Revive Hair and Beauty salon and Arty Sparkly illustration, Inverness based QS digital and car hire service Top Class and Prism Event lighting in Invergordon.

The finalists will find out if they are winners at the Nation's Wedding Awards ceremony in Manchester on November 1.
