The grand day of Portsoy's appearance on the world's biggest TV show is finally approaching.
The sixth and final series of Peaky Blinders will begin on the last Sunday of this month, it has been announced by the BBC.
Weeks were spent transforming Portsoy ahead of last February when the hugely popular gangster drama's cast and crew came up to the North East to film.
During the new series the Peaky Blinders get involved with smuggling to prohibition era America, where alcohol has been made illegal.
The village's picturesque harbour is therefore standing in for Miquelon, a tiny and remote French-speaking territory off the east coast of Canada.
This facelift saw the Shore Inn temporarily re-named the 'Hotel Lalanne' and painted a murky shade of off-white.
In addition, the show's main star Cillian Murphy was seen shooting several scenes alongside extras who appeared to be dressed as prison guards.
It's not known which episodes will feature Portsoy, however the first is being broadcast on BBC1 at 9pm on Sunday, February 27.
