A SPECIALIST industrial services, specialist waste management services and process decontamination firm which operates from Inverurie ended 2022 with news that it has made six-figure investment in new equipment and expanded into an important new overseas market.

Denholm Environmental Limited (a Denholm Energy subsidiary) recently completed its first contract in South America where it carried out work on a FPSO cargo oil tank and further work is planned for the first quarter of 2023.

It is hoped that the successful completion of these projects will act as a springboard towards further work in the region, using experience gained closer to home including recent simultaneous work scopes on six FPSOs in the UK and Norway.

Additionally, the company has continued to invest in its UK-based HGV fleet and has ploughed $500,000 into chemical decontamination capabilities which will expand opportunities in the offshore production and onshore refining/petrochemical sectors.

The decommissioning market also continues to keep the Denholm Environmental team busy whilst organic growth in the Scottish distilling market has led to bookings for work to be carried out in 2023.

The recent announcements round off a momentous 2022 for Denholm Environmental during which the company also completed the acquisition of Carlisle-based specialist industrial services experts, Andidrain Ltd for an undisclosed sum and carried out its first contract in Dubai.

“Key to growth is having the right people and the right equipment and we have been significant strides forward on both fronts this year which will position us well for growth in 2023 and beyond.”
