FIERCELY competitive, but in good spirit 15 teams gathered at Edwards on West High street, Inverurie on Thursday night for a charity quiz hosted by Inverurie BID (Business Improvement District) writes Griselda McGregor.

Manager of BID Derek Ritchie was a polished quiz master.

In making up the questions he said:" I tried to make them interesting and a bit unusual.

"That way folk could go home having learned something new."

The eight categories covered a wide range - food and drink, Scotland, sport, Inverurie, music, films and TV, numbers and Aberdeenshire.

Aimiable arguments could be heard rising from the various tables but it was all in good natured banter in aid of the Friends of St Andrews school.
