Inspector's praise for Cultercullen School pupils and staff

Cultercullen School near Udny has been praised by inspectors following their recent visit.

In the report, key strengths of the school were noted and included the confident, friendly and responsible children.

It noted: "Children are proud of their school and are engaged in their learning.

"They play an important role in leading change and improvement.

"Children benefit from the caring and supportive ethos and, as a result, feel safe and valued."

They said that the committed, proactive and enthusiastic staff team include: "The headteachers and all staff who work successfully together to improve outcomes for children.

"Staff lead aspects of improvement well and strive to develop their individual and collective skills for the benefit of children.

"Effective partnership working sees the headteachers successfully create a culture of collaboration which is underpinned by trust, respect and effective communication.

"Partners, parents and local residents actively support the work of the school.

"Their contributions are valued by all and have a positive impact on children’s learning and achievements."
