The company has just taken on a new five-year lease on a 2,500 sq. ft. new build unit which will consolidate the company’s presence and underpin future growth.

Founded in 2018, Matrix is delivers quality services focused on laser scanning and UAV services as well as conventional and advanced non-destructive testing. The company is also Scotland’s leading provider of metrology grade scanning and offers a suite of 3D laser scanners. Its UAV services are much in demand, having completed more than 500 hours of flying and in excess of 200 inspections.

The new base for Matrix is part of a scheme of modern, high specification industrial units immediately available with broad appeal to potential occupiers including energy, storage and distribution, and trade counter operations.

Letting agents CBRE and Ryden report that strong interest continues in the 1,500 to 2,500 sq. ft. premises with wider design and build and purchase opportunities also available at the 65-acre Park.

Meanwhile, brisk demand for office space at Thainstone has seen ANM Group’s Axis Centre reach capacity following the recent letting of four units of office space through agents CBRE to oil and gas, engineering and logistics service companies.

Commenting on recent activity at Thainstone Business Park and Thainstone Axis Centre, ANM group executive Avril McLeod said: “We are delighted to welcome our new tenants. The decision made by them to relocate to Thainstone reflects our attractive proposition of prime location and ability to provide modern high spec premises for businesses. This further underlines Thainstone’s strong position as a regional centre for business as we continue to attract interest from throughout the region and beyond.”

CBRE Associate Director Amy Tyler added: “The local market demonstrates that there is good demand for new build and high-quality business units such as those available at Thainstone. The appeal of these units is enhanced due to their suitability for a variety of uses and the fact that ingoing occupiers may be eligible for 100% rates relief for the first 12 months of occupation which is a huge advantage.”
