Turriff paid tribute to Queen Elizabeth II this morning with a short ceremony for the community ahead of her state funeral in London.
Representatives of local groups as well as members of the public gathered at the entrance of Turriff Cemetery to be led by piper Billy Hepburn to the memorial garden.
Once everyone was gathered he played Flowers Of The Forest.
To have the opportunity to play at an occassion marking the passing of the Queen was especially poignant for Mr Hepburn as his father and grandfather played at local events marking her coronation 70 years ago.
Those present gathered around the poppy flowerbed where wreaths were laid by various parties, as well as flowers laid by members of the public who wished to pay tribute to the monarch.
Amongst those present were deputy lieutenant of Aberdeenshire Steven Mackison, MP for Banff and Buchan David Duguid, local councillors, Turriff Legion and Turriff Legion women's section, Turriff Community Council, Turriff and District Heritage Society, Turriff and District Rotary Club, Turriff Boys' Brigade, Turriff and Fyvie Scouting groups and Girlguiding Turriff.
A minute long silence was observed, before everyone was piped out of the memorial garden.
