Tractor pulling made a welcome return to BA Stores at Lyne of Skene over the weekend as the Scottish Tractor Pullers Club (STPC) hosted the third round of the British Championships with participants travelling from across the UK to take part.

The event drew a large crowd to the evening sessions on Saturday and Sunday's bright sunshine brought visitors from across the north-east to watch the spectacle as the modified machines took to the specially created track.

The pull also allowed competitors the first opportunity to test out the new sled which has been purchased by the club and which marks a six figure investment in the sport.

The new self powered sled which provides the resistance to the pulling tractors proved popular with spectators who were able to see it up close during a pit time session and see its workings including its retractable hydraulically powered wheels.
