Hundreds of visitors made their was to Keith on Saturday for the first of two days of action at Seafield Park.
The 149th show moved to a new Saturday and Sunday format bring the cattle and sheep sections forward from their previous Monday hosting.
A decision to change dates was made last year after another local show at Tarland, with which it had previously clashed on the Saturday had seen an initial cancellation, then change of dates when reinstated, leaving the way open for a full weekend event.
With a packed car park and more people arriving on foot, it was a welcomed move by many of those attending, with good turnouts in the cattle, sheep and horse sections.
And unlike the Perth Show running the same day that saw torrential rain, just one short spell of drizzle just as the overall cattle champion was being judged was all that crowds had to endure on an otherwise dry day.
Alongside the livestock, taking centre stage in the main ring were the team from Riders of the Storm, whose display of combined riding and gymnastic skills brought loud applause from around the showring.
Crowds were also entertained by a working sheep dog display, and aside from the ring, there were a wide selction of entries to look over in the industrial and horticulture tent and youngsters had a host of activities to keep them busy, including the rides, farm information tent, RNCI trailer and an eclectic mix of stands selling everything from plants and sweets to new garden buildings and chainsaw sculptures.
The fun continues on Sunday, which is "Family Day" and sees pipe band performances, live music, horse competitions, races, tug o'war, shearing, funfair and the return of the Riders of the Storm team.
