The Marnoch Scarecrows fundraising trail returned to Foggie this weekend.

With a movie stars theme, popular characters popped up at various venues and gardens around the village.

This year's event sees 37 entries taking part, and runs until Sunday (October 23) with all of the money raised benefitting Scouting groups in Aberchirder.

While the weather may have dampened some scarecrows spirits on Saturday morning, families soon came out with the sun in the afternoon to explore the streets and see how many scarecrows they could find and how many movies they could identify.

Prizes will be presented after the conclusion of the event.

Anybody wishing to buy a map to embark on the trail can purchase one from 28 South Street for £1.

Also on Saturday the Scouts held a harvest themed coffee morning in Aberchirder Village Hall.
