This year's Insch Scarecrow Festival has been a big hit over the weekend, with 84 entries taking part.

There was a sports theme this year, with scarecrows getting stuck in to activities like cycling, swimming, horse riding and fishing, and scarecrows can be seen until tomorrow (Tuesday).

Raising money for Insch, Leslie, Premnay and Oyne Presbyterian Church and local primary schools, as well as embarking on the scarecrow scavenger hunts visitors could enjoy scarecrow teas or soup and sweet in the church hall at the weekend, or Scarecrow themed food in Bennachie Leisure Centre on weekdays.

People have also been asked to vote for their favourite scarecrows, with the winners receiving a small prize after the event.

Anybody wishing to join the scarecrow scavenger hunt on Tuesday can purchase the trail from Stephen's DIY during opening hours.
