A sunny Sunday morning saw dozens of members of the Turriff and District Vintage and Classic Club (TDVCC) heading out on a tour of the north-east coast for their annual road-run.

Starting out from the grain store location which has become a rally point, thanks to owner Ronald Tough, an eclectic mix of tractors, lorries, cars and motorbikes wound their way up the coastline, heading off from Turriff and travelling to New Aberdour before making their way to New Deer for a lunch-stop.

The club welcomes vehicles spanning the decades and this years run saw tractors from a wide range of manufacturers including Fordson, Fiat and David Brown.

Triumph, MG, Morris and VW made up part of the car line-up, with ERF and a spectacular and highly distinctive Peterbilt truck also taking part.

The annual road-run is one of several events run by the group, which also includes their rally which is held in May and a bus run for members, which this year will head down to Scone in September.

Commenting on this year's event, club secretary Lesleyann Geddes said: "Once again a thank you goes to everyone who showed up and supported TDVCC we can not thank you all enough, it honestly makes the hard work, the time and effort the TDVCC team put into hosting events worthwhile.

"Our annual road run would not happen with out the support of family and friends and our sponsors including Jim Urquhart Commercial Repairs, all of those involved in helping with the catering team and New Deer Show for the use of there facilities."
