Aden Heritage and Tractor Day was bringing back memories galore for visitors on Sunday, September 25.

The popular annual event dodged the rain to attract crowds from across the north-east with an array of activities.

The marketplace was the perfect place to pick up a treat or a gift from local businesses, or to show your support for local charities.

In the theatre building visitors could see demonstrations of heritage crafts including wood turning and natural dye.

At1pm visitors were treated to a Highland dancing performance by local youngsters.

Popular with young families were short train rides around the picnic area.

Inflatables in the main arena also brought a lot of joy to younger visitors.

Vintage motorcycles and cars, including Morris Minor, Ford and Land Rover lined the courtyard

Up the hill at the Hareshowe field more than 50 vintage tractors, as well as accompanying farm machinery, caught the attention of visitors.

Always a popular attraction, the tractors included Fords and Fordson Majors, Massey Ferguson and David Brown Selectomatic.

Stationary engines joined the line up.

Following the event, organisers said: "Thank you so much to everyone who came along to Heritage and Tractor Day on Sunday and thank you to our volunteers who helped make the event such a success."
