Huntly's Duncan Taylor Scotch Whisky launches exclusive Vietnam whisky experience

HUNTLY-based Duncan Taylor Scotch Whisky is launching a "whisky experience" in Vietnam.

The firm has put its name to a gold building, with the company motto "only the best" adorning the side, in the exclusive District 1 area of Ho-Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Spread over five floors, guests can sample the company’s award-winning portfolio of scotch whisky, by way of a mezzanine bar with fusion inspired cuisine, private VIP tasting rooms and retail boutique.

The Huntly company has been working with an Vietnam-based team to showcase their extensive portfolio of single malts and blends.

Whiskies are to be paired with a restaurant menu crafted by renowned Vietnamese chef Tran Van Fan.

Among the spirits on offer are the award-winning Black Bull 12 and Kyloe, bold blends which both received Double Platinum at the recent Ascot Awards.

A selection of Duncan Taylor’s exclusive single malt Octave Premium whiskies, featuring single casks from among the most iconic distilleries throughout Scotland, are also available.

Guests can also use self-serve cask styled dispensers from a range of Duncan Taylor’s Black Bull blends.

The barrels let whisky fans use a pre-paid card to get their hands on their dram of choice, straight from the source.

Chairman of Duncan Taylor Scotch Whisky Euan Shand said: “There is a shift in drinking habits in south-east Asia, so we were keen to create a versatile and authentic customer experience that is more expressive, moves with the times and promotes Scottish hospitality at its very best.

"This is a new foray into the hospitality world for our company and opening this whisky experience was the perfect way to engage with the community and culture of south-east Asia, who are keen to immerse themselves and discover more about the whisky world.”

Duncan Taylor’s commitment to promoting their brands globally in different markets continues.

The opening of the Duncan Taylor Vietnam whisky experience comes hot on the heels of the company sponsoring the Black Bull Challenge Tour golf event with Sir Nick Faldo in Bangalore.

The firm also plans to unveil global development plans later this year.
