THE most recent meeting of the Huntly Probus Club saw Kevin Cameron talking about his microbrewery venture in Rhynie.

The Copper Fox, which Kevin started in his garage in 2017, has stopped selling beer due to licensing, bottles and cost of labelling becoming too much.

Kevin, a former policeman, named the business after his form line of work and his wife's maiden name.

He sent quite a lot of his beer all over and down to England, which he admitted sometimes caused problems with bottles going missing or getting broken.

Kevin now just brews some for personal pleasure. He talked about the types of malt, hops and yeast he used and provided members with some samples.

The next meeting is the club's AGM on Thursday, March 9, at 10am at Huntly Golf Club.

The club is hoping for a good turn out as it decides about a change of day and, perhaps, venue. All committee members are in place for next year.
