JP, full name John Patrick Gallagher, was "blown away" to receive recognition for his efforts last year, and is now delighted to be in the running again.

He said: "To be nominated and shortlisted as a finalist for the third year in a row is a massive achievement for me.

"After being a runner-up last year and being highly commended, I hope to secure the accolade this year.

"It’s been a fantastic year of weddings that I’ve helped to celebrate across the north east of Scotland.

"I really appreciate couples recognising how much effort and dedication I put in to ensure that their special day goes as planned."

JP was born in Newcastle and moved to Huntly from the Lake District in 2013.

Since then he has been DJing at events right across the north of Scotland.

The winners of the Scottish Wedding Awards will be crowned at the Doubletree by Hilton in Glasgow on March 6.
