Deveron Projects has partnered with DYW (Developing the Young Workforce) to launch the new fixed-term paid scheme.

Through the traineeship, a young person will have the chance to "train in the arts and cultural production", getting hands-on supporting the wide range of artists supported by Deveron Projects.

A Deveron Projects spokesperson said that the "exciting opportunity" is open to any young person, aged between 16 and 25, who lives in Huntly or surrounding areas.

The traineeship will be "shaped around individual levels of experience, interests and ambitions", the spokesperson added.

"And the trainee will work on a wide range of projects, supporting artists-in-residence, helping run events from cooking workshops to film screenings, and assisting with marketing, communications and administration."

In total, the role will involve 15 hours of work a week for 8 weeks between February and April.

Paid at the Living Wage of £12 an hour, there is also an access budget and money for research and development attached to the role.

The closing date for applications is Monday, January 22 at 11am.

Full details and a job pack are available here.

Applicants have been encouraged to get in touch with any questions by emailing: jenny@deveron-projects.com, or calling the Deveron Projects office on 01466 794494.
