BBC ALBA is broadcasting a programme this evening looking at how North of Scotland businesses are adapting to Brexit.

It is now over three months since the end of the Brexit transition period and the beginning of a new trade agreement between the UK and the EU.

The current affairs show Eòrpa will examine whether businesses are confident any problems they are experiencing will be ironed out – or whether they fear these new ways of working will be the future for them.

Some companies, like The Highland Soap Company in Fort William are "very confident" about the future and Brexit and they say "business has never been better".

Others, like Lochfyne Langoustines, say this could be the end of their business due to inspections of their products, bureaucratic costs and delays of their perishable good.

Given that all Scottish seafood exports now have to be checked by vets in three main hubs in the Central Belt, Eòrpa will also look at how one of those hubs is coping with the new ways of working.

Eòrpa, which will air on BBC ALBA on Thursday, April 15 at 8.30pm.

It will also be available on the BBC iPlayer for 30 days afterwards.
