Horticultural Show set for a return in Huntly

Strathbogie Horticultural Show will make a welcome return to Huntly at the end of August and entries are still being accepted for the upcoming event.

Kathleen Raeburn, one of the event’s organisers said: “After a two-year absence due to Covid last year it was great to see such a large turn out of entries in all sections and we were pleased to see new exhibitors and we hope for the same again this year including in the new honey section."

Schedules for the show which will take place on Saturday, August 26 at The Gordon Schools Assembly Hall from 1.30pm are available from P. Watt & Sons, Itonmongers and Raeburn The Butchers in Huntly.

A new section for this years show is honey, with a total of nine categories covering light medium and dark extracted liquid honey, and granulated in jars, soft creamed and heather sections and combs.

Other categories include children's, seniors, flower arrangement, baking, vegetables and a host of crafting subjects.
